Journey to Kenya

If you travel to Kenya by plane you can check here for the airlines providing flights to Kenya.


You can get a single entry visa either from the Kenyan embassy in your country or at the airport in Nairobi or Mombasa.

Personal effects

Make sure you carry essential clothing such as warm clothes, a rain jacket, hiking shoes and light clothes for the diverse weather in the different places. Since you will be travelling a lot, try to avoid heavy luggage.


With your credit card it is no problem to withdraw money from the ATM at the airport and any other. Usually there is no need to organize Kenya Shilling (KSh) while you are in your country.

Disease immunization

The only immunization that is required is yellow fever in case you enter Kenya from a country with high risk. Please check for further detailed information.


You might have a travel insurance through your credit card contract or you organize a travel insurance with one of the numerous insurances in your country.


The weather patterns in Kenya vary according to the places you get to visit. The highlands are a bit cold (min. 10 degrees Celsius) where as the lowlands are hot (max. 37 degrees Celsius). In such cases appropriate clothing will be required.


During the day you are free to move as you wish but during the night we recommend to ask your guide for prior information in order to give the appropriate directions. Generally the security in Kenya is more stable than any other surrounding country.
